Celebrating World Arabic Language Day at CSAS ES

Citizenship & Science Academy of Syracuse Elementary Atoms Celebrate Arabic Language

Wednesday, December 18th, 2024: Since 2012, the world has come together to celebrate the beauty and significance of the Arabic language. World Arabic Language Day has highlighted Arabic's cultural and linguistic contributions to global heritage. Our CSAS Atoms joined the celebration this year with engaging and educational activities.

Students embraced the day by showcasing their language and culture through meaningful interactions. They participated in a bilingual storytime, reading two books—one in Arabic and the other in English—fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation for multilingualism. Additionally, they crafted vibrant posters featuring Arabic foods they enjoy throughout the year, celebrating the rich culinary traditions tied to their heritage.

At Citizenship Elementary, we celebrate the unique cultures that make up our community. Events like World Arabic Language Day allow our students to share their traditions, learn from one another, and strengthen the bonds of cultural understanding.
