Inspiring the Next Generation at CSAS ES

Guest Speakers at Citizenship & Science Academy of Syracuse Inspire Future Doctors

Wednesday, February 12th, 2025: Citizenship & Science Academy of Syracuse Elementary fifth graders learned School is C.O.O.L.! “Challenge Ourselves to Overcome and Learn!”

As part of our Black History Month Celebration, we welcome guest speakers into our school daily! Fifth-grade students had the incredible opportunity to hear from Dr. Symone Campbell, PhD Researcher and professor at Howard University, and Dr. Semaj Campbell-Blakes, PhD Candidate at Syracuse University, and Program Coordinator for the Image Initiative.

As proud members of Sigma Gamma Rho, they shared their journeys, community impact, and passion for education. The CSAS Atoms engaged in discussions about Black History Month heroes, college life, and career aspirations. They even learned what it takes to become a doctor!

Our 5th graders left feeling inspired, motivated, and ready to make an impact in their future careers!
